Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente once said that the Natural Park of Cabrera was “Ulysses’ Mediterranean just one hour from Mallorca.” This statement has never been more accurate than today, since on February 1st, 2019, Cabrera became the largest National Park in Spain.
The protected area has expanded from around 10,000 hectares to nearly 90,000 hectares, including both land and marine environments.
Like other Mediterranean “Cabreras” such as Capri, Caprera or Capraia, the Cabrera Archipelago remained uninhabited for long periods of its history. As a result, visiting the island gives the sensation that time has stood still, despite being located just ten nautical miles from Colònia de Sant Jordi, in the south of Mallorca.

The beaches of Cabrera stand out for their crystal-clear waters and their protected natural surroundings. On the main island, visitors can enjoy swimming areas in a peaceful environment, surrounded by nature and free from crowds, making the experience truly unique within the National Park.
These beaches offer the perfect setting to relax, swim and enjoy the sea in one of the best-preserved natural spaces in the Mediterranean.
In addition to its coastline, Cabrera is home to numerous historical, cultural and natural landmarks. During the visit, it is possible to discover emblematic sites such as the Castle of Cabrera, the Museum, archaeological remains, the French monument, the n’Ensiola Lighthouse, the Botanical Garden, and beaches such as Sa Platgeta and s’Espalmador, all included in our Premium Tour.
With more than 400 botanical species, nearly 200 species of fish, endemic wildlife such as the famous lizards, a unique natural harbour and spectacular sunsets, the Cabrera Archipelago National Park is a true natural paradise. Despite its small size, it offers activities for all audiences that can be enjoyed on our excursions, such as the Classic Tour, which includes a visit to one of the park’s most iconic spots: the Blue Cave, where especially in the afternoon the sunlight creates stunning effects of light and colour.
